Should I use a fuel additive (liquid or pills) in my car while using the Fuelshark?
No. Some fuel additives may increase your MPG thus giving you a false reading on the performance of the Fuelshark. Even though some additives may increase your MPG, the disadvantage is that you must keep buying and adding these additives. The advantage of the Fuelshark is that you only need to plug it in to your lighter socket and use it for 3 years without the hassle and expense of constantly buying and adding these fuel additives every time you fill up, not to mention having to carry these additives in your car.
Can I use my Fuelshark on any vehicle?
Yes, as long as the vehicle runs on a 12 or 24 volt system (most vehicles do).

Can I use my Fuelshark on RVs?
Yes. Most RVs are 12 volt systems. Due to the weight of RVs, your fuel savings may be a little less than with automobiles.
How do I know my Fuelshark is working?
The LED light will come on when you plug it into your cigarette lighter adapter. You can also run your own test. Fill your tank without topping off. Record the odometer reading before driving. Drive your car until you are at about 1/2 of a tank. Record your odometer reading and you will now know how many miles you have driven. See how many gallons it takes to refill your tank without topping off (use the same gas as before). Divide the number of miles driven by the number of gallons used to refill your tank to get your actual MPG. Now do the same process using your Fuelshark. You will see the difference in increased MPG
